Maple Hill, KS (June 27, 2024) – On Wednesday, June 26, two people were hurt after a rollover crash in the Maple Hill area. The incident was reported around 3:16 a.m. at Interstate 70 EB and Keene-Eskridge Road. The victims were traveling eastbound on the highway in a 2024 Freightliner Cascadia when the rig overturned due to high wind.
The truck came to a risk in the south ditch. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The driver, 23-year-old Keegan Schiefelbein of Wichita, and a passenger, 22-year-old Donnavon Schiefelbein also from Wichita, were hurt and transported to Stormfront Vail Hospital by ambulance for the treatment of sustained injuries.
