Mullinville, KS (August 22, 2024) – A 50-year-old man from Phillipsburg was killed after being struck by a semi-truck in the Mullinville area on Wednesday, August 21. The deadly crash took place near the US-54 and 10th Avenue interchange just past noon. The victim, 50-year-old Richard Hubbard of Phillipsburg, was reportedly walking north on 10th Avenue when he was hit by a westbound semi-truck driven by a 67-year-old man from Pleasant Hope.
Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Hubbard was taken to a local hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead.
