Osawatomie, KS (June 22, 2024) – On Friday, July 21, there were injuries reported in a deadly head-on collision in the Osawatomie area. The fatal accident took place on US-169 early that morning at 11 a.m. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene and found two vehicles with extensive damage.
It was later revealed that the driver of a Mazda was attempting to pass a tractor-trailer when it crashed head-on with a gray Chevrolet Equinox. One of the victims, Natalie Dawn Lober O’Leary of Wichita, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims, an 83-year-old man and a 78-year-old woman, were hospitalized by ambulance for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the incident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision.
