Distracted Driving Crashes in Kansas
Kansas’s roads are very dangerous enough, and they are even more of a risk when people use their phones while driving. There were more than 18.1 percent of crashes in the state in 2021 that were caused by distracted drivers. Over 3,000 people are killed and many more are seriously hurt every year in the United States because of this careless behavior. You might not be able to pay attention to the road if you text, talk on the phone, or even mess around with the radio. Almost 10 percent of the time, a driver who is distracted will have their eyes off the road. This makes it more likely that a major car accident will happen.
