Paxico, KS - Two Hurt in Auto Accident at I-70 & Snokomo Rd

Paxico, KS (September 30, 2024) – There were reported injuries after a car crash outside of Paxico on Sunday, September 29. The accident took place on Interstate 70 EB near Snokomo Road late that night around 7:34 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 2011 Honda CRV driven by 64-year-old Aimye Ruth Bonjour of Topeka was partially disabled on the interstate without power at the time of the crash. 

Local sources revealed that 18-year-old Anthony Louis Congdon-Meyer of Chester, NE was driving a 2008 Ford Fusion when he failed to see the disabled vehicle. Congdon-Meyer crashed into the rear of the Honda. Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Bonjour was transported by ambulance to Stormont Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries, and Congdon-Meyer was treated at the scene. No further information on the accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing crash investigation.
