Roe, KS (April 16, 2024) – There were multiple injuries reported after a car accident in the Roe area on Monday, April 15. The crash was reported on Interstate 436 EB near mile marker 77 in Johnson County. It was reported that a blue Ford Ranger pickup truck was traveling in lane five when it shifted into lane four.
It was then that a 2023 Tesla Model 3 driven by 47-year-old Robert Scott Patterson of Lees Summit, MO, made an evasive maneuver from lane four into lane three. The Tesla hit a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 29-year-old Dakota Jean McNamara Thornblade of Kansas City, MO. McNamara Thornblake was transported to Overland Park Regional Hospital by ambulance for the treatment of sustained injuries. The Ford reportedly fled the scene. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
