Salina, KS (May 24, 2024) – A man was killed and a woman injured following a motorcycle accident in the Salina area on Thursday, May 23. The deadly crash was reported at the 600 block of S. Broadway Boulevard late that night around 7 p.m. Local reports indicated that a pickup truck and a motorcycle collided at the scene.
It was later revealed that the driver of the pickup was making a left turn out of a nearby car wash when it hit a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The impact caused the bike to veer into the center lane where it hit the back of a Dodge Neon. The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased party was later identified as 60-year-old Steven Moore of Salina. Moore’s 64-year-old passenger was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
