Salina, KS (December 4, 2024) – Two drivers were injured in a crash involving a Chevrolet Sonic and a Ford Focus on North 9th Street near the I-70 Westbound entrance ramp on Friday, November 29, 2024, around 7:40 p.m. The Chevrolet Sonic, driven by 22-year-old Maraya Burns, collided with the Ford Focus, driven by 43-year-old Amanda Stec, as Burns attempted a left turn onto the ramp.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance. Both vehicles were damaged, and Burns’ Chevrolet came to rest in a nearby ditch, while Stec’s Ford remained in the roadway facing southbound. Burns suffered suspected minor injuries but did not require hospital transport, while Stec was taken to Salina Regional Medical Center for treatment of suspected minor injuries. Traffic disruptions were minimal, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
