Shawnee, KS (August 9, 2024) – A woman was left in critical condition following a pedestrian accident in the Shawnee area on Thursday, August 8. The crash occurred at the intersection of Maurer Road and Shawnee Mission Parkway at around 5 p.m. Local reports revealed that two vehicles collided at the scene.
There were no injuries in the initial crash, and both drivers exited their vehicles. One of the drivers attempted to move one of the vehicles involved and hit the other motorist. That driver fell from the car and was also hit. The involved parties were treated by attending medical personnel, and those needing additional treatment were later hospitalized.
