Shawnee, KS (June 4, 2024) – Two people were injured after a car accident in the Shawnee area on Monday, June 3. The collision took place on Interstate 35 NB, near Shawnee Misson Parkway that afternoon, around 1:05 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck and a 2020 Ford F-250 pickup truck were traveling northbound on the interstate at the time of the incident.

It was reported that a 1996 Mazda B3000 lost its load on the interstate, which caused a 2015 Ford Transit van to slow down abruptly to avoid hitting the load. The driver of the F-150, 27-year-old Harold Garcia of Kansas City, MO, and his passenger, 65-year-old R. Hernandez-Perez, were transported to Overland Park Regional Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the accident is currently available.
