Topeka, KS (March 1, 2024) – Early on Thursday morning, February 29, a child was hurt following a two-vehicle collision in the Topeka area. The accident was reported at the crossing of SE 20th Street and SE California Avenue early that morning at around 8:15 a.m. Local sources indicated that a school bus headed to Williams Elementary School was hit by a southbound sport utility vehicle.
The driver of the SUV reportedly pulled in front of the bus, and the two vehicles collided. There were 15 students onboard at the time of the accident. A child on board was transported to a local for treatment by ambulance.
