Topeka, KS (June 17, 2024) – A passenger was injured after a single-vehicle accident in the Topeka area on Sunday, June 16. The accident was reported on Interstate 335 NB in Shawnee County near mile marker 171.1 late that night, around 10:17 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 2015 Honda Pilot was traveling northbound on the interstate at the time of the crash.
The Honda hit a deer on the roadway. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide the necessary aid. A passenger in the Pilot, later identified as 49-year-old Molly Glauner of Lawrence, was reportedly injured in the crash and provided aid at the scene. The driver, 50-year-old Jonathan Glauner, also from Lawrence, was not hurt in the accident. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
