Topeka, KS (August 4, 2024) – Three people were injured following a motorcycle accident in the Topeka area on Saturday, August 3. The crash was reported at the intersection of K-92 and Quail Hill Drive that afternoon around 1:24 p.m. Local reports indicated that a 2012 Harley Davidson FLT Series motorcycle and a 2017 Harley Davidson FHL Series motorcycle were both headed westbound on K-92.
The 2017 motorbike made a left turn when the other motorcycle failed to stop and crashed into the left side of the other bike. The operator of the FLT series, 72-year-old Thomas John Moreland, was transported by ambulance to Stormfront Vail Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. Both the operator, 60-year-old Darryl E. Enloe of Shawnee, and the passenger, 62-year-old Catherine Ann Solar of Shawnee, of the FHL Series sustained serious injuries. Both were also transported to Stormfront Vail Hospital for treatment. No additional information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
