Wichita, KS - Cyclist Dies in Hit-&-Run on N Hoover St

Wichita, KS (August 19, 2024) – On Sunday, August 18, a cyclist was killed after a hit-and-run accident in the Wichita area. The deadly crash was reported at the 2400 block of N. Hoover Street. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene after being notified of the victim lying on the roadway. 

When officials arrived, they found a 43-year-old man unresponsive on the road. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. It was later revealed that the man was riding an electric bike traveling northbound when he was hit by an oncoming motorist. The at-fault driver fled the scene without providing aid to the involved party. The identity of the deceased has been withheld. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
