Wichita, KS (July 27, 2024) – There were reported injuries after a pileup crash outside of Wichita on Friday, July 26. The accident took place at the corner of SW 70th and SW Cross Road early that morning around 9:35 p.m. Local reports revealed that 22-year-old Arisleydis Prieto Morales of Wichita was traveling westbound on 70th in a 2010 Honda Civic at the time of the crash.
At the same time, 91-year-old Theodore Albright of Towanda was headed east on the roadway in a 2019 Toyota 4Runner, and 52-year-old James Shaddox of Benton was headed north in a 2020 Toyota Tundra pickup truck on Cross Road waiting to make a left turn. Morales made a left turn into the path of the 4Runner, and the two vehicles collided. The impact caused the Honda to hit the Tundra. Albright was injured in the collision and treated at the scene by attending paramedics. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
