Wichita, KS (July 20, 2024) – A driver was injured after a two-vehicle collision in the Wichita area on Friday, July 19. The accident was reported on the Interstate 135 SB ramp near 21st Street that afternoon around 4:43 p.m. Local reports revealed that 64-year-old Dianne Barber of Wichita was stopped at the bottom of the ramp in a 2004 Ford Focus when she was struck from behind by a 2004 Acura MDX.
It was reported that the driver of the Acura failed to see the Ford and crashed into the rear of the vehicle. The driver of the Acura fled the scene without providing aid. Emergency crews were dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. Barber was transported by ambulance to Wesley West Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries.
