Wichita, KS (July 16, 2024) – On Monday, July 15, a driver was injured after a rear-end collision in the Wichita area. The accident was reported on Interstate 135 NB near 2nd Street that afternoon, around 4:40 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 2012 Mazda 3 and a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe were traveling northbound on the interstate leading up to the car crash.
The driver of the Chevy, 41-year-old Claudia Peralta De Chavez of Wichita, was traveling ahead of the Mazda when the other driver, 22-year-old Khoa Nhat Nguyen of Overland Park, crashed into the back of the Tahoe. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. De Chavez was injured and transported to Wesley Medical Center for the treatment of sustained injuries.
