Wichita, KS (August 21, 2024) – A driver was injured after a two-vehicle collision in the Wichita area on Tuesday, August 20. The accident took place on Interstate 235 near West Street early that morning around 7:47 a.m. Local reports revealed that a 2001 Ford Excursion and a 2016 Toyota Camry were exiting the highway toward US-54 at the time of the impact.
The driver of the Toyota, 21-year-old Aimee Marie White of Mulvane, slowed due to traffic. The driver of the Ford, 20-year-old Jacob Alexander Gnagy of Wichita, attempted to brake and perform an evasive maneuver. The Ford crashed into the rear of the Toyota. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. White was injured and transported by ambulance to Wesley West Emergency Room for the treatment of sustained injuries.
