Wichita, KS (May 24, 2024) – A driver was hurt after a two-vehicle crash in the Wichita area on Thursday, May 23. The incident occurred on K-15 near Interstate 135 around 5:20 a.m. Local reports revealed that a 2005 GMC Envoy XL and a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox were traveling southbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
It was later revealed that 38-year-old Jordan Keith Foland of Wichita was headed south in the GMC behind the Chevy driven by Christopher Charles Harvey of Derby. For unknown reasons, Foland crashed into the rear of Harvey’s vehicle. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to provide the necessary aid to the involved parties. Harvey was transported by ambulance to Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities were present. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
