Kansas Rear-end Collisions
A rear-end crash can leave you with serious neck and spinal injuries due to the rapid back-and-forth nature of the impact. One of the most common types of accidents in the United States is a rear-end crash. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says they are responsible for about 28 percent of all reported accidents across the country and almost six percent of all traffic deaths each year. There are more than 1.7 million rear-end collisions reported annually, which hurt more than 500,000 people and kill 1,700 others. Statistics show that most of these accidents happen because drivers aren’t paying attention to the road and can’t stop in time to avoid hitting the back of another vehicle.
