Wichita, KS (February 20, 2024) – A local man was killed after he was hit by a Wichita Police Department cruiser in the Wichita area on Saturday, February 17. The deadly accident took place at the 1300 block of MacArthur Road at around 8 p.m. Local sources indicated that the victim was traveling on foot when he was hit by an eastbound WPD vehicle driven by a 29-year-old officer.
The injured pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased party was later identified as 51-year-old Jeffrey Moss of Wichita. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present.
