Dangerous of Reduced Visibility for Drivers
Accidents caused by reduced visibility, such as glare from sunlight, highlight the importance of caution while driving in challenging conditions. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) notes that bright sunlight is a significant factor in many daytime crashes, especially during early morning and late afternoon hours when the sun is at a low angle. Drivers are encouraged to use sun visors, wear polarized sunglasses, and reduce speed when visibility is compromised to prevent such tragic incidents.
