Wichita, KS (March 2, 2024) – On Saturday, March 2, there were reported injuries following a vehicle collision in the Wichita area. The accident was reported that evening at around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Murdock Street and St. Francis Avenue. The collision reportedly involved a Wichita Fire Department (WFD) unit and a sport utility vehicle. 

A battalion chief was injured in the collision. The WFD vehicle had to be towed from the scene. The SUV sustained significant front-end damage in the impact. The circumstances leading to the accident have not been determined.
